Kincade Fire Talking Points (Wednesday, October 30)

Fire Info:

  • Fire started northeast of Geyserville late Wednesday, October 23
  • As of Wednesday morning (10-30) the fire was more than 76,000 acres and 30% contained
  • At least 206 structures have been destroyed and 40 structures have been damaged (check this link for the latest: https://www.fire.ca.gov/incidents/2019/10/23/kincade-fire/)
  • Two people (fire personnel and civilian) have been injured
  • 4,870 fire personnel are assigned to this fire
  • About 186,000 people have been evacuated in Sonoma County
  • Approximately 2,500 Sonoma County residents are using evacuation centers.

  • The Salvation Army is pulling resources together from the following corps across in the Del Oro Division to respond to the Kincade Fire: 
    • Roseville
    • Redding
    • Santa Rosa
    • San Rafael
    • Napa
    • Oroville
    • Auburn
    • Petaluma
